[Information Recall](https://formester.com/features/information-recall/), also known as answer piping, lets you reuse answers entered by a respondent in different parts of your form. This makes your forms more personal and engaging. For example, you can greet someone by name on the thank-you page or include their details in an automated email.

### Step 1: Create Your Form
Log into your Formester account and click **New Form**. Add the fields you need such as Name, Email, Phone, or any custom fields relevant to your form.
For this example, let’s create a **Real Estate Lead Generation Form** with Name, Email, and Phone.

### Step 2: Use Recall on the Thank You Page
To personalize the thank-you message:
1. Open the **Thank You Page** in your form.
2. Click inside the **Thank You Message** field.
3. Type the **@ symbol** to bring up all available fields from your form.
4. Select the field you want to recall, such as **First Name**.
Now, your thank-you message can say:
*“Thanks for signing up, @First Name! We’ll contact you soon.”*

### Step 3: Recall Information in Form Fields
You can also use Information Recall in:
* **Field labels**
* **Descriptions**
* **Custom text fields**
This allows you to guide users with context based on their earlier responses.

### Step 4: Personalize Automated Emails
Information Recall is especially powerful in email autoresponders.
* Use the **@ symbol** to insert a user’s name, email, or any custom data.
* Example: *“Hi @First Name, here is your order number: @Order ID.”*
This makes your communication feel personal and professional.

### Step 5: Use Recall in Calculations
If you’re using number fields, you can also recall them in formulas.
1. Add a **Number Field**.
2. In the calculation field, open the **Formula Editor**.
3. Use the **@ symbol** to select the number fields.
4. Build a formula like *@Score + @Bonus*.
This is useful for tests, order totals, or scoring systems.

### What You Can Do Next
With Information Recall, you can:
* Show dynamic thank-you pages that include user details.
* Send personalized email confirmations.
* Use IDs or order numbers in invoices or receipts.
* Perform custom calculations based on user input.

### Final Thoughts
Information Recall in Formester gives you the ability to personalize forms and communication without extra setup. By using the simple **@ symbol**, you can recall any field, improve user experience, and make your forms smarter and more interactive.
