How to Add Fields in Formester

Steps to Add a Field

Open your form in the builder.
Select the page where you want to add fields.
Click on Add Elements.
Choose the field type you want to add.

Available Fields by Page Type

Blank Page

Full set of fields for collecting data:

Basic Elements: Single line input, paragraph text
Personal: Email, phone
Date and Time: Date picker, time picker
Survey: Rating scales, Likert
Choice: Single choice, multiple choice, dropdown
Embed: Image, video, audio, custom code
Payment: Stripe, PayPal
Spam Protection: reCAPTCHA, Turnstile
Others: Calculation, signature, file uploads, location, auto unique ID

List of Field Types in Formester

Field Type	Purpose
Single Line Input	Collect short text answers such as name, title, or ID.
Paragraph Text	Collect long responses such as feedback or descriptions.
Email	Capture a valid email address with format checks.
Phone	Collect phone numbers with optional validation.
Date Picker	Allow users to select a date from a calendar.
Time Picker	Allow users to select a specific time (hours and minutes).
Rating Scale	Collect satisfaction scores with stars or numbers.
Likert Scale	Measure opinions or agreement on a scale (e.g., Agree to Disagree).
Single Choice	Let users pick only one option from a list.
Multiple Choice	Allow users to select more than one option.
Dropdown	Present many options in a compact dropdown list.
Image	Display a banner, logo, or graphic inside your form.
Video	Embed a video for instructions, branding, or context.
Audio	Add an audio clip for voice messages or instructions.
Custom Code (HTML)	Insert custom HTML, scripts, or widgets.
Stripe Payment	Collect secure online payments via Stripe.
PayPal Payment	Collect secure online payments via PayPal.
reCAPTCHA	Add Google’s spam protection to stop bots.
Turnstile	Add Cloudflare’s privacy-friendly spam protection.
Calculation	Perform calculations using user inputs (e.g., price × quantity).
Signature	Capture digital signatures.
File Upload	Let respondents upload files like resumes or IDs.
Location	Collect address or geographic location details.
Auto Unique ID	Assign a unique ID to each form submission.
Spacer	Add blank space for better visual design.
Column Layout	Arrange fields side by side in columns.
Repeater Field	Let users add multiple sets of the same input (e.g., work experience).
Text Block	Add a block of text to explain instructions or context.
Button	Add a call-to-action button inside a page.
