The **Rich Text field** in Formester lets you add formatted content directly to your form. Unlike input fields, it does not collect responses but allows you to display styled text, links, and instructions that improve the form experience.

It’s like adding a mini text editor inside your form to guide or inform respondents.

### Steps to Add a Rich Text Field
* Go to your **Formester dashboard**
* Select the form you want to edit

### Add the Rich Text Field
* Click **Add Elements**
* Under **Basic Elements**, select **Rich Text**
* A text block will appear on your form

### Enter and Format Your Text
* Type or paste your content

###### **Apply formatting options:**
    * **Bold, Italics, Underline** for emphasis
    * **Bullet lists** or **numbered lists** for clarity
    * **Hyperlinks** to direct users to external pages
    * **Headings or subheadings** for structure

### Adjust Styling and Placement
* Move the block to the desired section
* Resize or align text as needed
* Add spacing before or after the field for a clean layout

### Publish Your Form
* Click **Publish** when you’re done
* **Preview** the form to ensure the text displays correctly

### Best Use Cases for the Rich Text Field
* **Provide instructions**
Add context or guidelines before a section (e.g., “Please complete all required fields before proceeding”).
* **Add disclaimers or legal notes**
Display privacy policies, disclaimers, or terms within the form.
* **Explain field usage**
Give extra guidance for complex fields like payments or calculations.
* **Highlight key information**
Use bold or colored text to draw attention to deadlines, fees, or rules.
* **Add links**
Point respondents to FAQs, company websites, or external documents.

### Pro Tips
* Keep text concise so your form stays user-friendly.
* Use headings and bold formatting to improve scannability.
* Place Rich Text fields before and after key form sections to reduce confusion.
* Combine with **Headings** and **Dividers** for a polished, structured design.
