How to Add Stripe Payments to Your Form
Accepting payments through your forms should be smooth, secure, and professional. Stripe integration in Formester lets you collect money directly, whether you are selling products, taking donations, or charging for event registrations. With a few quick steps, you can turn any form into a checkout page.
Step 1: Connect Your Stripe Account
- Go to the Payment section in your Formester dashboard
- Select Stripe as your payment provider
- Log in with your Stripe credentials to connect your account
- Once connected, your account will be ready for transactions across all forms
Tip: Make sure your Stripe account is verified so payouts work correctly.
Step 2: Add Stripe to Your Form
- Open the form where you want to enable payments
- Add a calculation field to calculate the total price of selected items
- Assign values to items using conditional logic. For example, Cookie = $10, Bread = $5, Total = @price
- Click Add Elements → Stripe to insert the payment field
- Update the label text if you want to rename the field
- Select the currency you want to use such as USD, CAD, or EUR
- In the Amount field, use @ to pull the total from your calculation
- Add a support email for customer queries
- Customize the button text to say Pay Now, Complete Purchase, or Checkout
Tip: Test your calculation logic with different item combinations to ensure totals are correct.
Step 3: Publish and Test
- Click Publish to make the form live
- Preview your form and run a test transaction
- Confirm that totals update correctly when different items are selected
- Check that Stripe displays the right amount at checkout
- Verify that the Pay Now button takes users to the secure Stripe payment gateway
Pro Tip: Enable email notifications in Formester so you and your customers get instant confirmation after each payment.
