How to Automate Form Workflows Using Ottokit (Formerly SureTriggers)
The Ottokit integration lets you automate workflows triggered by your Formester form submissions. This is helpful when you want to connect forms to other apps, perform actions automatically, or streamline your processes. With this setup, you can trigger events like new submissions, updates, or deletions and connect them to multiple tools.
Follow the steps below to connect Ottokit and automate your forms.
Step 1: Login to Ottokit
- Log in to your Ottokit account.
- Create a new workflow.
Step 2: Select Formester as the Event
- Search for Formester in the app list.
- Select the event you want to trigger the workflow:
- Form Submission Created – triggers on new submissions
- Form Submission Updated – triggers on updated submissions
- Form Submission Deleted – triggers on deleted submissions
- Click Continue and copy the generated webhook URL.
Step 3: Add Webhook in Formester
- Open your form or survey in Formester.
- Go to Automate, then Webhook, and select Create New Webhook.
- Paste the webhook URL from Ottokit.
- Make sure to match the event type you selected in Ottokit.
Step 4: Configure Workflow Actions
- Go back to Ottokit.
- Select the apps you want to connect as actions.
- Configure the actions based on the form submission data.
Step 5: Publish and Test
- Click Publish in Formester to save the webhook.
- Submit a test form entry to ensure the workflow triggers correctly in Ottokit.
