How to connect Formester Forms to Make.com
Make.com (formerly Integromat) is a powerful automation platform that lets you connect Formester with thousands of apps, without writing a single line of code. By connecting your Formester forms to Make.com, every new form submission can automatically trigger a workflow, sending your data to tools like Google Sheets, Slack, your CRM, email marketing platforms, and more.
This guide walks you through connecting Formester to Make.com using the Formester app, so your submissions flow into any scenario you build.
What you'll need
Before you start, make sure you have the following ready:
- A Formester account with at least one published form
- A Make.com account (the free plan works to get started)
- The destination app you want to send submissions to (for example, Google Sheets, Slack, or your email tool)
Step 1: Create a new scenario in Make.com
Log in to your Make.com account and open the Scenarios section from the left-hand menu. Click Create a new scenario in the top-right corner. In the scenario builder, click the large plus (+) button to add your first module. Search for Formester and select it as your app, then choose the Watch New Submissions trigger. This is the module that will receive data from Formester.
Step 2: Connect your Formester account
With the Watch New Submissions module selected, click Create a connection. Give the connection a recognisable name such as "Formester submissions" and authorise access to your Formester account. Once the connection is authorised, Make.com links directly to Formester, so there is no need of webhook URL to copy or paste.
Step 3: Choose the form to watch
In the Watch New Submissions module, open the form dropdown and select the Formester form you want to connect. From now on, every submission to this form will be picked up by your Make.com scenario. There is nothing to configure back inside Formester itself.
Step 4: Send a test submission
Back in Make.com, click Run once on the Watch New Submissions module so it starts listening. Then open your live Formester form and submit a test entry. Make.com will capture the submission and show the data structure it received, including all of your form fields. This lets Make.com learn the shape of your data so you can map individual fields in the next modules.
Step 5: Add an action and map your fields
Click the plus (+) button next to the Formester module to add an action, for example Google Sheets > Add a Row, Slack > Send a Message, or your email or CRM tool of choice. Connect the app account, then map each Formester field to the correct destination field by clicking into the field and selecting the matching value from the submission data. Once your mapping looks right, click Save.
Step 6: Turn on your scenario
When you are happy with the setup, toggle the scenario from Off to On in the bottom-left of the Make.com builder and set a schedule (Immediately is recommended so submissions flow through instantly). Your integration is now live, and every new Formester submission will flow automatically into your connected app.
Popular things you can automate
Once Formester is connected to Make.com, the possibilities are almost endless. A few popular workflows include:
- Adding each new submission as a row in Google Sheets or Airtable
- Creating a contact or deal in your CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive)
- Sending an instant Slack or Microsoft Teams notification to your team
- Adding respondents to a Mailchimp or Brevo email list
- Creating a task or ticket in Trello, Asana, or Notion
Troubleshooting tips
- No data in Make.com? Make sure the scenario is turned On and that your Formester connection is authorised and pointing at the correct form.
- Fields not appearing? Send another test submission while the module is listening so Make.com can re-read your form's data structure.
- Missing recent fields? If you add new fields to your form later, run the Watch New Submissions module again and submit a fresh test so the new fields become available for mapping.
That's it! With Formester connected to Make.com, you can build powerful, multi-step automations that save time and keep every tool in your stack in sync. If you need a hand setting up your first scenario, reach out to our support team, we're happy to help.
