How to Push Form Submissions to Salesforce
How to sync form submissions to Salesforce
Connect a form to your Salesforce org so every new submission automatically creates — or updates — a record there, without any manual data entry.
Available on: Business plan. You'll need: Owner or Admin access to your Formester organization, and a Salesforce user who can authorize a new connected app in your org.
The Salesforce integration is a Business-plan feature. On any other plan, opening it shows an upgrade prompt instead of the setup screen, so you can't connect a Salesforce account until you upgrade.
Before you begin
- Your organization must be on the Business plan. Free and Personal plans show an upgrade prompt instead of the connection screen.
- You need a Salesforce login that can grant Formester API access to your org (Formester requests API and offline access during connection).
- Create or open the form you want to sync before you start — you'll pick it as part of the setup.
Connect Salesforce to a form
- Open the form, select Automate in the top bar, then select the Integrations tab.
- Find the Salesforce card and select Add integration. This opens the Salesforce Integration panel.

- In the panel, select Connect Salesforce account. Formester opens Salesforce's login and permission screen in a new window, requesting API and offline access to your org. Log in and approve access when Salesforce asks.

- Back in Formester, choose your newly connected org under Salesforce Account.
- Under Salesforce Object, search for the object to sync to. The picker opens on Lead, Contact, Account, Opportunity, Case, Campaign, and Contract; turn on Show all objects to search your org's complete list, including custom objects.

- Choose a Sync Mode:
- Create new record adds a new Salesforce record for every submission.
- Update existing record looks for a Salesforce record that matches on fields you choose, updating it if found, and creating a new one otherwise. Choosing this mode requires marking at least one mapped field to match on.
- Under Field Mapping, pair each form question with a Salesforce field. Fields Salesforce requires on the object are added automatically and can't be removed until you map a question to them.

- Leave Sync existing submissions turned on if you also want the form's past responses pushed to Salesforce (this option only appears the first time you connect; it syncs at most the most recent 10,000 submissions). Select Save Integration to finish.
- You can also sync the existing submissions after saving the integration from the integration card

What happens next
Once saved, every new submission on the form automatically creates or updates a record in the Salesforce object you chose. You can turn the integration off at any time without losing its configuration, and a Sync now action lets you re-run the backfill for existing submissions on demand.
Troubleshooting
Upgrade prompt instead of the setup screen — If your organization isn't on the Business plan, selecting Add integration on the Salesforce card shows an "Upgrade to business plan to get this feature" screen instead of the connection panel. Upgrade the organization's plan, then try again.

The following errors exist in the product but could not be triggered without a connected Salesforce org, so they are listed for reference only and are not verified:
- "Could not connect to Salesforce. Please try again." — shown if the Salesforce login/authorization step fails or is cancelled.
- "That object no longer exists in this Salesforce org." — shown if a previously selected object was deleted from Salesforce.
- "Salesforce requires these fields on : . Map a form question to each before saving." — shown when saving without mapping a question to every Salesforce-required field.
