How to Show a Progress Bar in Your Form

A progress bar helps respondents see how far they’ve come in a form and how much is left. This improves user engagement and increases form completion rates, especially for longer forms.

Log In and Open Your Form

Start by logging into your Formester account. Open an existing form or create a new one with the fields and questions you need.

Access Form Behaviour Settings

Click on the gear icon at the top of the form editor. This will open the Form Behaviour settings where you can customize how users interact with your form.

Enable Progress Indicators

Look for the option “Show progress indicators” and toggle it on. This will add a progress bar to your form, allowing respondents to track their progress as they move through the questions.

Publish and Share

Once you’ve enabled the progress bar, click Publish to save your changes. Share the form via URL or embed it on your website. Respondents will now see a clear visual indicator of their progress, making the form experience smoother and more engaging.

Adding a progress bar can significantly reduce form abandonment and improve the overall user experience for your respondents.
