How to Export Form Submissions as PDF Files
Sometimes you need a copy of your form submissions in a structured format, like a PDF, either for record-keeping, sharing with clients, or automating workflows. With the right form platform, exporting submissions as PDFs is quick and easy.
Here’s how you can do it:
Step 1: Access Your Form Submissions
- Log into your form builder account.
- Open the form for which you want to export submissions.
- Navigate to the Submissions or Results tab to view all received entries.
Step 2: Export Individual Submissions as PDF
- Click on a submission to view its details.
- Look for an option like PDF or Export as PDF.
- Click this option to generate a PDF version of that submission containing all the filled-in details.
- You can download this PDF or share it with others as needed.
Step 3: Automatically Send PDF Copies to Respondents
Many form platforms also allow you to automatically send a PDF copy of the submission to the person filling out the form. To set this up:
- Make sure your form has an Email field so the system knows where to send the PDF.
- Go to Settings and enable the feature for Submission Copy or Send PDF to Respondent.
- When a user submits the form, a PDF of their submission will be attached to an automated email and sent directly to their inbox.
This feature is especially useful for order forms, registration forms, or any scenario where the respondent may need a confirmation document.
